  1. That sure didn’t sound like Dutch they were singing!

  2. It’s dutch alright. And they are even more dutch then we are here in Holland. I don’t know any celebrations like this (not including the tourist attractions).
Looks great in HD Josh and loading quickly. I’m jealous. I’m struggling to get a 640×480 normal video small and crisp and didn’t succeed in any.

  3. 5 Million bulbs! That’s seriously impressive, not to mention gorgeous!

We’ve got about 17 tulips at the house.

  4. Nice video Josh! That made me want to visit.. I really liked how you used the music throughout the video.. It really added to the feel of the festival. The wooden shoes were pretty cool… I bet they’ve got to be a little uncomfortable.

  5. Wow, I haven’t been to the Tulip Festival since I was like six years old or something. Right on, thanks for the memories!
And the new camera is working for you, those were some great shots.

    Cheers!

  6. the new camera is perfect for this kind of reportage, with flowers the color is great, as is great the video as usual

  7. Hey Josh,
Thank you for this sight. We are living in Canada, trainning to be missionaries with New Tribes. We are originally from Lowell, MI. and it is a treat to stop in and visit this sight and get a little taste of home. Thank you!

  8. Man, I dig tulips. I was born in Holland (as in The Netherlands) and remember seeing the fields and fields of them when I was a kid. Never been to Western Michigan but it looks like April/May is the time to go, eh?
