Very cool! Thanks for the link on my Flickr photo. I also compiled a video of the races, not near as well done as yours, though. Here’s the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=V_Kd6_68V9c.
GENTLEMEN, START YOUR OUTHOUSES! The Coopersville Outhouse 500. Excellent vlog by Wandering West Michigan, which is going onto the blogroll in about 2.1 seconds…….
Great video josh. I’m alittle late in catching it but I caught it and that’s what matters.
Had no idea michigan had such great and unique high culture as this. A tradition that no doubt goes back centuries.
This is the stuff that the outsiders just don’t hear about. It’s an insightful piece of Michigan idenity, pride and will no doubt be an attractive selling point to tourists in the winter… that and snowmobiling.
I think Chuck Olsen of Minnesotta would have a hard time finding anything to compare to this though I’d love to see him try.

Great video and wonderful interviews Josh! I’ll be back to see what you’re up to next. Dee Dee
Very cool. I love when communities come up with their own type of races. Steve Garfield covered belt sander races a few months ago and that was great.
