Josh,
I love the ‘Northern Exposure’ feel to
these pieces. Keep up the good work.
The Christmas Ferret, -A West Michigan
tradition! I’ll spread the word!
Don’t ‘poor dog’ my dog, just because I have her walk in the Reindog Parade and the Mutt March! “Poor dogs” are dogs that are forced to fight or race and then die for human entertainment when they are not good enough.
“Poor dogs” are dogs that are waiting to die in shelters. “Poor dogs” are dogs in China, getting their head bashed in by the police. “Poor dogs” are dogs left outside in the cold with no shelter or water. “Poor dogs” are dogs that are thrown off bridges or balconys because their owners got tired of them.
My dog is a spoiled princess. She gets nightly rides through town, and sleeps in my bed. She is never hungry, or cold, or hit. She gets walks in Grand Mere State park, and gets fed organic dog food mixed with boiled chicken breasts.
Just because she wears a little coat and walks three blocks once a year in a fun parade, does NOT make her a ‘poor dog’, and a sincerely doubt that any of those dogs in the Reindog Parade are ‘poor dogs’.
Great pece Josh. It looks like Wandering West Mihigan is really hitting it’s stride.
poor dogs, sorry but I don’t like when animals are used as something to be shown
The best part was the dogs singing “Jingle Bells”. Loved it!………..
MAN! Michigan is weird… hehehe. I love it.

Dear Casey,
wierd?… you should drop by Ann Arbor some time around Naked Mile, or the shopping cart races.
Then there’s the Munger potato festival…

Save your pity for the truly ‘poor dogs’!
It would be nice if the city of St.Joseph treated the senior citezens as good as they treat the tourist that visit the town.
